I wrote this book in one weekend.

And an even quicker tip to write a book in 24 hours.

📚 Hi everyone!

Last week I talked about a weekend writers retreat with Audrey, and how you can write a book in a weekend. Well below is the exact workflow I used to write, publish and market a book in a weekend.

Next week I might even reveal the book.

Plus an awesome episode with Marco from Dibbly, who’s building tools that take book creation from idea to done in 24 hours. Dibbly used to be Urban Writers, which I am sure a lot of you know.

🎧 This Week's Episode: Marco from Dibbly

In this week’s Publishing Performance Show, I caught up with Marco Moutinho, CEO of Dibbly—the all-in-one AI toolset for authors. I’ve been using Urban Writers (Dibbly’s sister brand) since the early ghostwriting days, so it was fun to nerd out with Marco about what’s next.

He’s got a bold vision: use AI to help authors create, format, design, and publish faster than ever. One-click interior design? Instant eBook + print files? Yep, Dibbly does it.

✍️ Teddy’s Writing Tip: The AI Workflow That Works

Here’s how I’m using AI (and ChatGPT!) to make writing faster and more fun. This is the exact method I used to write a book last weekend at the retreat:

1. Plan with prompts
Start with: “Help me outline a [genre/topic] book aimed at [audience]. I want 10 chapters, each with 3 bullet points.”
Bam! Instant structure. I have a list of prompts I use to create the outline, respond to this email and I will send them to you!

2. Keyword research? Done.
Prompt: “Give me 10 high-traffic, low-competition keywords for a book about [your topic].” Refine until you find your angle. This part is important for finding new keywords, so ask for my list of keyword prompts and I’ll send them.

3.Write the book!

I used Dibbly to write the book, which made it really quick and easy. You can use the prompts from using Chat GPT to go over to Dibbly to make the book in no time.

3. Design your cover
Use ChatGPT’s new image tool to mock up ideas. Want a “moody thriller set in space with a mysterious astronaut”? Say that, and you’ll get visuals to test. You can use these as a first step

4. Launch with ads
I used Publishing Performance, to test audiences, tweak your copy, and track results. The authors seeing the best ROI are the ones who test early, tweak often.

📖 Teddy’s Book Club - Free Book of the Week: Silence and Decay by Lisa Boyle

Silence and Decay is a powerful historical novel set in post-independence Ireland, following the lives of two women scarred by trauma and silenced by society. With beautifully lyrical prose and vivid historical detail, Lisa Boyle explores themes of violence, resilience, and the unspoken bonds between women. It's a haunting, emotional story of survival and strength in the face of injustice.

Its a great book and it’s won loads of awards, plu its FREE for the next few days.
