Publish on Amazon only, or publish everywhere?

Wide publishing is a big decision, Dale L Robert is THE expert.

Hey, Teddy here again!

I’m just getting ready to fly to New Orleans to speak at the Writer MBA conference about how to use AI to win Amazon ads. If you’re around in New Orleans, let me know and, come and say hi. There are also still tickets available on the Writer MBA website, and it’s going to be a great conference!

On the podcast this week

I finally managed to pin down Dale L. Roberts for The Publishing Performance Show. We’ve been crossing paths at conferences and social media forever, so it was wonderful to chat one-on-one. Dale is (amongst many other things) the author of “Wide Publishing for Authors,” and we dove into what “wide publishing” really means—basically, going beyond Amazon to get your book into as many retailers as possible.

If you’re new to the concept, Dale breaks it down clearly: it’s all about maximizing reach so you’re not stuck in any one place.

It is really interesting because I am usually so focused on Amazon that I don’t think about anywhere else. But after speaking to him, I am going to add my fun children's book project to some wide publishers. Thanks Dale!

Writing Tip of the Week

Experiment with visuals. I’ve been tinkering with Napkin.ai (not sponsored—just obsessed) to create quick diagrams. Your readers will thank you when those tricky concepts suddenly become crystal clear! I wanted to show you, and I needed a graphic for my site about sponsoring my podcast, and I made the one below in about 5 minutes and I was able to edit it too - really incredible how fast you can work with AI. Let me know if you use it Napkin!
